Free community lunch!
Join us for a free lunch of Caribbean and Indian food as we launch our community cookbook and herb garden!

Time & Location
07 Apr, 12:00 – 14:00
London, 18 Woodford New Rd, London E17 3PP, UK
About the event
We are having a day full of community activities - forest school in the morning, and planting up our herb garden and a history tour of the church in the afternoon.
What better way to spend the middle of the day than enjoying a free community lunch (although donations are very welcome!)?
This event is held in partnership with the Waltham Forest Twinning Association, who we have been working with since Black History Month 2021. It was almost inevitable that our theme of exploring biodiversity in Waltham Forest and the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, and Dominica, would involve thinking about the plants that find their way into our cooking!
We are also now happy to be including the community from our local Hindu temple and interfaith networks in celebrating our shared food heritages.
Please book your place here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/community-lunch-tickets-309474585817
The culimunation of the event will be the launch of our community cookbook and the establishing of our herb garden.
This is a free event, but we are also accepting donations that will support the charitable work of St Peter-in-the-Forest. If you book a place but can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket so that we know how many people to cater for!
