About the event
St Peter-in-the-Forest is collaborating with the Waltham Forest Antigua & Barbuda and Dominica Twinning Association to produce a cookery book which blends cultures and flavours, and needs illustrating by Waltham Forest's young people!
Artist Hattie Collins is running four workshops on the Thursday and Friday of February half term, each using different materials and methods.
Kids aged 6+ and their parents will get stuck in to a range of activities, with something fun and creative for everyone of any ability. Help create some colourful additions to our wonderful project!
Thursday 17th Feb 10:00 – polymer clay workshop
Like things bite-size? Try making some miniature clay ingredients or even a whole meal!
Thursday 17th Feb 12:00 – painting workshop
From still-life to abstract, come along and paint your response to the delicious recipes featured.
Friday 18th Feb 10:00 – collage workshop
Can you make a creature from cut-outs of vegetables? An inviting dinner set from faces in magazines? This one is for you.
Friday 18th Feb 12:00 – plate creations
Make each plate look delicious by covering it in glitter and foam shapes. Yum!
Please book a ticket for each child attending. We do ask that adults stay and enjoy the activity with their kids, but no booking required! If you need to cancel your place, please do so at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund. This is so that we have time to re-advertise and re-allocated your place to someone else.
